Therapy That Cuts Through the Noise

Irmae Therapy’s vision is based on the person it is named in honor of, Irma Mae. Hi, I am the Licensed Mental Health counselor (LMHC) behind Irmae Therapy, Ermanette. I named this practice after my grandmother, a woman who was kind, patient, resilient and determined. I still strive to be more like she was every day.

At Irmae Therapy, I offer a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy. Our work begins with understanding you—your experiences, your identity, and what you want to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan, with you guiding the destination and pace.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, grief, and self-esteem challenges. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-informed care, I help clients build insight, develop coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. Throughout the process, I aim to be both a supportive guide and an active encourager in your growth.

I provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming virtual space for clients located in Florida and Indiana, making therapy accessible and convenient from wherever you are.

My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by witnessing a loved one struggle to find quality care. That experience drives my commitment to being the kind of therapist I would trust with my own family—compassionate, authentic, and deeply invested in your well-being.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by past experiences, navigating a difficult transition, or struggling with self-worth, you don’t have to face it alone. Therapy can be a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you make sense of your story.

Being human is complex—beautiful, painful, and everything in between. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in that journey.
